Biography

Teresa Luzio Morais (Santarém, 1976) is a visual artist and professor, with a Communication Design degree at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Leiria (ESTGAD) (2000), an MAF at Bauhaus University, Weimar (2005), and a Performance Art PhD at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2017). As an adjunct professor of Performance, among other course units, in the Fine Art degree at the Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design – Polytechnic of Leiria since 2007, Teresa Luzio Morais has developed her artistic practice with her teaching profession. Also, she is a steering committee member of LIDA — Laboratório de Investigação em Design e Arte and a co-founder of the international collective usually4, along with artists Dušica Dražić (RS), Sam Hopkins (UK) and Karolina Freino (PL). Furthermore, Teresa Luzio Morais has been part of collective exhibitions in Portugal, Serbia, Poland, Brazil, Germany, and Russia, and received a Fernando Beck Award in 2014. Her works are featured at the Centro Cultural de Belém and in private collections.
