Nuno Sousa Vieira is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and an integrated researcher at CIEBA (Centro de Investigação e de Estudos em Belas-Artes). His debut exhibition took place in 2005 at the Centro de Artes Visuais, in Coimbra, and ever since he has been working on exhibitions regularly. Some of his most renowned works are: Uma vida inteira, at Banco das Artes, in Leiria, and Oculto, at Travessa da Ermida, in Lisbon (2021); Linha Funda, at the Fundação Carmona e Costa, in Lisbon (2020); Me, my self and the other, at the Galeria 3+1, in Lisbon (2019); Duble / Duble, at the SE8 Gallery, in London (2018); Nasci num dia curto de inverno, at the Portuguese Communications Foundation, and From Darkeness To Light, at the Galeria Graça Brandão, in Lisbon (2015); Ouvi dizer que o lugar mais escuro é sempre debaixo da luz, at the Kunsthalle São Paulo, in São Paulo, Brazil (2014); Wall Stop for This, Appleton Square, in Lisbon (2012); and, Somos nós que mudamos quando tomamos efetivamente conhecimento do outro, Pavilhão Branco – Museum of Lisbon, in Lisbon (2011).
His latest exhibitions took place in Brazil, in particular: Um entre nós, at the Raquel Arnaud Art Gallery, São Paulo (2022); and Tenho a vista cansada, at the Galeria Maneco Müller : Multiplo (f.k.a. Galeria Mul.ti.plo), Rio de Janeiro (2022).
