Luís Silveirinha (Campo Maior, 1968) lives and works at Alverca do Ribatejo and attended a Painting Program at Ar.Co – Centro deArte e Comunicação, in Lisbon (2003/2007). Silveirinha has developed the fields of drawing and artist’s books in his artistic activity, which include the following exhibitions: Livros de artista da Coleção da Biblioteca de Arte da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, at La Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno dela República Argentina (2024); Canção de Setembro – Obras da Coleção António Cachola, at espaço.arte (Campo Maior, 2024); Nas costas do viajante de Caspar David Friedrich, at Quarto 22/College of Arts of the University of Coimbra, curated by António Olaio (2023); É tempo que a pedra se decida a Florir, at Galeria do Parque, curated by João Pinharanda (Vila Nova da Barquinha, 2021); De noite vivem estrelas, cintilantes!, at Art Bank Gallery – Leiria, curated by Hugo Barata (2020); Saturno em Plutão, in collaboration with António Olaio, at Galeria Sete (Coimbra, 2019); Arquivo, at Money Museum (2016); Areia, at the Electricity Museum / EDP Foundation – Sala Cinzeiro, curated by João Pinharanda (2015); and, O Jardim do Éden: O inventário (parte 1), at Quase Galeria, curated by Fátima Lambert (Porto, 2013).
In addition to receiving the 13th Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Prize award, Luís Silveirinha’s works are included in the following collections: the António Cachola Collection, the National Museum of Contemporary Art—Museu do Chiado, the EDP Foundation, the Money Museum/Banco dePortugal, the Art Library, and the Gulbenkian Archives.
