Francisco Brandão (Minas Gerais, 1994) is an artist and researcher living in Porto. Brandão got a PhD at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra and is a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies – CEIS20 research group. His career includes: the solo exhibition Os abjectos: um corpus sistêmico at Galeria Refresco (f.k.a. Galeria Salgado e Refresco) in Rio de Janeiro; the participation in the 30.ª Mostra de Arte da Juventude by SESC – Social Service of Commerce, in Ribeirão Preto and Rio de Janeiro, with a sculpture acquired by the Museu de Arte Murilo Mendes, in Juiz de Fora; and, the exhibition Identidades em Revolução, Narrativas Queer no antes e pós 25 de Abril at Associação Cobalto, in Porto. Brandão also participated in arts residencies, such as the FAAP Artistic Residency in São Paulo, where he systematized concepts developed nowadays.
