The valley is a pathway, and the light under that valley changes over time, changing also our way of seeing.
Architecture allows us to move in many directions, go back reread what we have done, and move forward again.
We sought the original elements of each work and reproduced images about the process by following the curated assumption.
The first work, Edifício de Recepção na Citânia de Santa Luzia (Reception building in Santa Luzia fortified village), built at the top of a hill, petrous, hard, took us to a harshness and a discipline in drawing and structuring that we still chase to this day.
Differently, the more recent Colégio Efanor is a project of urban work that seeks to build by adjusting the new buildings to the limits of the land, using different constructive ways and systems for each program, aspiring to make a city inside and outside the land.
Between these two works was the project from the Estonian National Museum, a competition which we did not win. A designing exercise from a complex program, somewhere we have not visited and over which we are building an object in a geography, using images, photos, and maps. Without an interlocutor, we feel capable of proposing a real building to an imagined place, with all the excitement and creative freedom that this entails.
Uma obra, um concurso, outra obra is merely just about three moments in the winding, complex, and resilient path in which architecture transformed itself. In which architecture is.
