TAPE (Trabalhos Apresentados a Projeto para Exposição) is a Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra initiative launched in October 1999, as the 10-year celebration of Architecture in the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra. Its purpose is to gather and showcase a selection of the best works by the Integrated Master’s in Architecture students in the course units of Architectural Design throughout five years. The themes covered suggest an exercise on getting closer to reality, vertically evolving from a context abstract to city and territory intervention. In this journey, drawing tools intersect with other areas of disciplinary knowledge, in constructing critical and integrated thinking that seeks to anticipate the challenges of professional practice. This exhibition, held for the first time outside the academic environment, serves as the expression of a School in dialogue and manifests its expansion. In fact, from a School «entre Coimbra e o mundo»¹ [between Coimbra and the world].
