Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra will host, on Thursday, March 13, at 19:00 at the Círculo Sereia (Jardim da Sereia, Parque de Santa Cruz, Municipal House of Culture, floor -1), an initiative promoted by Linha de Fuga: the launch of number 12 of Korea, a newspaper that talks about different artistic practices based on dance, and “The Universe is like nothing”, performance by Bruno Brandolino. The session, with free admission, is classified for people over 18 years of age. More information at Linhadefuga.pt.

From a biannual print run, Korea publishes writings from the perspective of those who make, who produces, who sees and who thinks about the arts. The session, with free admission, is classified for people over 18 years of age. Number 12 of Korea begins on the banks of the Mira River. With Sílvia das Fadas, the focus changes to what surrounds us. Mysteries are shared with the earth and plants and we think of the ground, the basis of everything. From the ground you go to the suspension, from the top to the street. Catarina Vieira brings a survival manual, of making and undoing. Tell what you experience. Or, sometimes, someone will tell for us, as is the case of Kang Seung Lee who tells Goh Choo San. Bruno Brandolino thinks about what bodies, archives, and existence will tell us. Disruption and digestion. One thinks about the origins of cinema and its present, which must see beyond itself, and Olga de Soto tells the dialogue for an exhibition that lives and transforms. In the pages of his diary, in this #12, Derek Jarman puts it all together. From the garden to the body, the will to plant a seed. Tell your story. It ends with hope and resilience.

Korea #12 includes contributions from Audrey Albert & Shane Ah-Siong, Bruno Brandolino, Catarina Vieira, Cosimo Terlizzi, dai ida, Dayanita Sight & Mona Ahmed, Derek Jarman & Howard Sooley, João Pedro Soares, Kang Seung Lee, Lou Vives, Olga de Soto, Rafael Manhães, Renan Marcondes, Sílvia das Fadas, Teresa Ves Liberta and graphic design by Isabel Lucena and Oriol Cabarrocas.

João dos Santos Martins will present this new edition of Korea, followed by Bruno Brandolino's performance “The Universe is not similar to anything”, an exploration of what lives outside our ontological and corporate structure. A call for destabilizing forces to disrupt our foundations. A naked and anonymous body claims the center of this work to unfold its full potential in a scato-sexual sound journey.

The Linha de Fuga initiative has a partnership with the Research and Artistic Practices Laboratory (LIPA), of the Gil Vicente Academic Theater, and the support of Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra.
